Enjoying indoor protection, this Cougar is exhibited in the 1958 colours of VMCJ-2, MCAS Cherry Point, NC. The F9F-8P was one of many Cougar versions and was intended for reconnaissance, with a larger nose housing several cameras and a fixed position refuelling probe.
