Assigned to the 8th Tactical Deployment Sq., 552nd Air Control Wing stationed at Tinker AFB, OK. At Fairford for a visit by President Ronald Regan to the UK. Was the first KC-135A. First flew in 1956. Used by Boeing as a test aircraft. Converted to an EC-135K in 1961. Preserved at McConnell AFB, KS from 1996.
