This is an ex-Royal Navy Firefly of 1950 vintage which was transferred to the RAN in 1953 by sea after refurbishing by Fairey. In 1961 it underwent conversion to TT.6 for target towing duties and was eventually allocated to the FAA Museum, where it was restored to flight in 1986 as VH-NVU and finished in a camouflage scheme.
