Nearly 40 Sea Venoms provided the backbone of the Australian FAA's capability in the period between 1956 when they took over from the Sea Fury to 1967 when replaced by the A-4G Skyhawk. WZ937, allocated N4-937, was used as a training aid at HMAS Nirimba, Sydney till 1984 then returned to HMAS Albatross here at Nowra for the Museum, initially kept ground running condition.
