Built as a KC-135A by Boeing Renton (WA), and accepted by the USAF in 1959. It was modified to KC-135Q to refuel the SR-71A. Rebuilt to KC-135T in late 1993. The Q is here seen during it's take-off roll at Mildenhall (with some over presure in the fueltanks as fuel is coming out of its engine) ahead of its mission to pick-up a SR-71A that returned later that day.
