This aircraft was built by Stuart Tantrum of Levin, New Zealand, and first registered on 17th January 1978, powered by a Lycoming O-235 motor it is painted as B4863 of 55 Squadron, RFC. It crashed whilst displaying at the 1992 Auckland Air Expo and rebuilt by Stuart Tantrum, but its registration was eventually revoked for reasons unknown on 19th May 1998 and retired to the museum.
