Delivered to the USAF in Dec 1953 as an SA-16A. Transferred to the Coast Guard in Feb 1959 as 7251 and redesignated to UF-1G. Converted to the long-winged UF-2G, and redesginated to HU-16E in Sep 1962. Came to the Texas Museum of Military History (now the Dyess Linear Air Park) in 1982.
