The aircraft was retired by Port Hutt Air in October 2004 and stored at Palmerston North, the company ceased trading in August 2005 and the Beech was deregistered in April 2006. In 2010, after years of storage, it was restored to airworthiness and acquired by Chathams Pacific, Tonga's domestic airline, and registered A3-CIA. On 20th April 2014 it carried out a belly landing at Eua-Kaufana Airport, Tonga, after the gear failed to extend, there were no reported injuries and no further information could be found so it is likely that it was scrapped in situ.
