Protected by some wires as the aircraft had open fuel tanks. The 23d Tactical Air Support Squadron was based at Davis Monthan AFB and flew the Dragonfly from 1981 to 1991. The small green jet once replaced the OV-10 Bronco and was succeeded by the A-10 Warthog within the squadron.
