The 1925 Bristol 93 Boarhound was designed to replace the Bristol Fighter in the army cooperation role. Type 93A Beaver was a development as a light bomber to replace the DH.9A. Prototype G-EBQF first flown on 23 February 1927. Had a prone bomb aiming position in the lower fuselage, to which the gunner/bomb aimer could move from rear cockpit. To Martlesham in April 1927. Only production of the Type 93 was two Type 39B Boarhound II aircraft for Mexico. Photo from: Bristol This photo was added on 5 September 2024, and has since been viewed 419 times. |
