Egypt operated a large number of Il-14s from 1955 onwards, up to as many as 70, the last serving until the early 1990s. This one is a star exhibit in the museum but is falsely marked as '1101', which was shot down by an Israeli Meteor NF.13 over the Mediterranean in October 1956 during the Suez Crisis.
