Ordered for the USAAF as 42-105192. Transferred to the RCAF as 858 in 1943. Sold as N1197N in 1947. Converted to dispense iodide pellets for weather modification in 1955. Damaged in a wheels up landing near Denver, CO in 1958. Trucked to the Air Museum, Ontario, CA in 1960 for restoration. Moved to the Planes of Fame Air Museum, Chino in 1977. First flew after restoration as N85104 in 1980 and maintained in airworthy condition as a warbird.
