Since 2017, the former Aéronavale ramp on the west side of Nîmes - Garons is home to the water bombers of the Securité Civile. There are very nice opportunities for photography here in the afternoon and surprisingly even the Gendarmerie allow it, although they do not tolerate ladders near the fence.
