Delivered to JBG37 at Drewitz in July 1979. The MiG was handed over to the Luftwaffe as 20+38 on 3 October 1990. During the visit to Drewitz, the MiG was getting some avionics inspections and it carried 6648 on plates in nosewheel bay en right hand wheel bay (not visible in this picture). It was eventually withdrawn from use at Drewitz in February 1991 and moved to Rothenburg museum as 689 in May 1997.
