Delivered to JBG37 at Drewitz in July 1979. The MiG was handed over to the Luftwaffe as 20+39 on 3 October 1990. It was eventually withdrawn from use at Drewitz in July 1991 and moved to a museum at Speyer (Germany) for preservation as 22+02 in April 1994.
