Missing some necessary parts to fly as the main gear tires were left. The struts were awaiting some new ones. 105 was delivered to JBG37 at Drewitz in April 1979. This dual seat MiG had a deviating serial presentation, not large red digits like the single seaters, but black ones. The MiG was handed over to the Luftwaffe as 20+63 on 3 October 1990. The Luftwaffe serial was never taken up. It was eventually withdrawn from use at Laage in December 1990 and was moved to a museum at Berlin-Gatow in August 1996.
