Registered in Belgium just the month before this photo, this Turbo Commander was built in 1977 and previously G-BGXM, 5N-ALA and N51862. Sold in 1984 as N602CA, it went on to become N7872L, N81562 and N300CP. It crashed while on an aeromedical flight at Herlong, CA on 31st December 1992 after encountering extreme turbulence in the vicinity of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, wind speeds varying between +60kts and -40kts being reported.
