This Italian tanker was flown over from homebase Pratica di Mare air base near Rome (Italy) to the northern part of the Netherlands, refuelled multiple aircraft during an exercise named Steadfast Noon and was planned to return to homebase, but it went tech and diverted to Eindhoven. An Italian C-27J flew in some parts, but after a full day of maintenance, it was still parked at ther Eindhoven apron. 62227 is one of four KC-767s the Aeronautica Militare (AMI, Italian Air Force) purchased in 2002. The air force recently invested in its successor, the KC-46A Pegasus. This photo is copyright © Stephan de Bruijn, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
