Only months after it was stricken from operational service, this Neptune was stored at the south end of homebase NAS Valkenberg. It was delivered to the Marione Luchtvaartdienst (MLD, Dutch Naval Aviation) on 16 January 1962 as a P-2V-7B. The long range maritime patrol aircraft was converted to SP-2H and returned to service until June 1982. After storage at Valkenburg, it was donated to the KLM instruction school on 16 November 1983.
