First delivered to Singapore Airlines as 9V-STD in February 1982 and sold to Hapag-Lloyd as D-AHLJ in June 1985, initially flown in basic SQ colours with Hapag titles. Then leased to Dan-Air in April 1986 as the first of three A300s operated, similarly still in the colours of its previous operator.
