On final approach to Runway 31 at Prestwick for an overnight stop as RCH275. Displays the name "Spirit of Golden Bear" on its nose. Carries the markings of the USAF Air Mobility Command's 60th and 349th AMWs located at Travis AFB, Fairfield, California. The aircraft's white "Travis" tailband includes the California golden bear from the California state flag. The first operational Lockheed C-141 Starlifter was based at Travis and nicknamed "Golden Bear". On retirement it was placed on special commemorative static display at the base.
