This Dutch L-285E (LO-200) carried FMS BuNo 161369, and was taken on charge on 1 Feb'82 by first US Navy Patrol squadron 30 at NAS Jacksonville (FL). The Dutch aircraft was used there for pilot training. It was delivered to the Marine Luchtvaartdienst (MLD, Royal Netherlands Navy) on 21 Jul'82 and assigned to 320sq. It first carried a large V on its tail, referring to homebase Valkenburg. The P-3C was modified at Greenville (SC) with the Capability Upkeep Program (CUP) and was then designated P-3C-II½ CUP. The Orion was eventually sold to the Marineflieger on 2 Jun'06, and become 60+01.
