VH-EBH was delivered to Qantas in July 1961 and withdrawn from use in June 1968. It then sat around Sydney airport for more than a year until sold to British West Indian Airways as 9Y-TDC. The 707-138B was shorter than the normal 707-100, tailor-made for Qantas and in some ways akin to the 747SP in trading capacity for range. But by 1968 improved airports meant the 707-300 could flying all the routes and with better seat-mile costs. Several of Qantas' 13 707-138Bs ended up as corporate aircraft.
