A fine view from the ATC tower. J-248 carries FMS serial 78-0248 and is a Fokker built (line number L-074) F-16A Block 10A. It was delivered to the Koninklijke Luchtmacht (KLu, Royal Netherlands Air Force) on 7 Oct'81. The F-16 suffered a serious mishap after it landed on its nose due to severe winds, although the pilot managed to keep the bouncing Falcon on the runway, he decided to eject. The F-16 was repaired and continued service up to Aug'01. It was first stored at Woensdrecht, then preserved at Kamp Zeist from Jun'13. It then became a travel exhibit and is seen all over the Netherlands. This photo is copyright © Stephan de Bruijn, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
