This aircraft is something of a mystery, it was registered, (it was cancelled by the FAA due to the expiration of its Registration Certificate on 2nd January 2018), as an Aero Structures Inc. MD-2 c/n 003, and exhibited at Oshkosh in July 1995 with a horizontally opposed engine. There is a Wikipedia page showing a photo of the aircraft, N125FA, where it is described as a Frontier MD-II, "an American homebuilt aircraft that was designed and supplied as a kit by Frontier Aircraft Inc of Vail, Colorado, introduced in the 1990s". Only 2 were said to be built but this is c/n 003!
