Built as 42-23278. In use as an instructional airframe at the Hancock College of Aeronautics in California by 1947 and with several different owners until bought by the Republic Aviation Corporation in April 1961. Restored and shipped to Europe to appear at the Paris Salon in 1963, re-registered N347D in March 1964 and subsequently displayed with the USAF Museum at Wright Patterson. Displayed as 42-22668 'Fiery Ginger 1V' since the early 1990s. This photo was added on 27 December 2024, and has since been viewed 84 times. |
