From 1974 operated with VMA-513 (MCAS Yuma), transferring to VMA-231 (MCAS Cherry Point) in 1982 on conversion from AV-8A to AV-8C. It later went back to VMA-513 and spent time aboard LPH7 Guadalcanal before placement in the care of AMARC in 1988. By 1994 it had been acquired by the Pensacola museum.
