This is actually F-105D 58-1155, which was first flown in March 1960 and was retained as a test aircraft, initially at Republic's Farmingdale factory airfield on Long Island and also here at Eglin AFB. In 1969 it was assigned to the 23 TFW at McConnell AFB, KS and 1971 was transferred to the 113 TFW (District of Columbia ANG) at Andrews AFB, MD. In 1981 it went on display at the Armament Museum marked as a 388 TFW aircraft based at Korat RTAFB.
