On its takeoff roll from Prestwick's Runway 12 as RCH5014, returning home to Dover AFB, Delaware after a crew rest stopover. Carries the markings of the USAF Air Mobility Command's 436th and 512th Air Wings. Displays the name "Nickel Grass", no artwork, on the port side of its nose. Operation Nickel Grass was the code name for the US airlift of weapons and supplies to Israel during the 1973 Arab-Israeli War. This photo is copyright © David A.
