Ordered in 1959, the first of the three Heralds - G-APWC - was acquired by B.E.A. in January, 1962, and the other two (G-APWB and G-APWD) were delivered in March and April respectively. Sold to Autair in November 1966 it was sold in Colombia as HK-715 on 26 Oct 1970 and operated by Urraca Airlines until 22 Jun 1975 when it was damaged beyond repair after making a one engined emergency landing on a small dirt runway near La Libertad, Colombia This photo is copyright © Gordon Riley, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
