Late '99, the KLu decided to retire the two F27-200MARs of 336sq which were based at Hato, Curaçao. Here M-2 is seen after its return from Hato, awaiting further plans. Eventually, it was decided to dispose them. M-2 was flown to Southend (UK) on 27 Aug'02, cannibalized and sadly scrapped. On the tail, the 336sq badge (a frigate bird) is seen, on the nose the badge of CZMCARIB (Dutch Commandement der Zeemacht in het Caribisch Gebied-Naval Sea Command Carribbean). 336sq was deactivated in 2000 and reactivated in 2004 with C-130Hs (the badge then became a Bull).
