At the 1972 Portes Ouverts at Toul, you can see the tail of 42204 completely detached in the hangar to allow engine maintenance. Toul had been a military field from WWI, when Eddie Rickenbacker's Hat-in-the-Ring squadron was based there, and I think the Luftwaffe used it in WWII. Now closed.
