This floatplane version of the N3N-3 trainer was given the nickname of 'Yellow Peril' by the trainee Naval pilots. This particular airfame (the BuNo is not original to it) has the distinction of being the first aircraft to be accepted into the National Naval Aviation Museum's permanent collection. Actual serial is 1759. This photo is copyright © Alastair T. Gardiner, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
