On June 3, 1911 Frank and Jules VanDersarl completed a two year build of their version of the Bleriot XI. The VanDersarl brothers did not have any factory support during their work to build their clone of the revolutionary Bleriot XI (which was the first aircraft to cross the English Channel in 1909). Years after the brothers had completed this aircraft and flew it the family stored it until the 1960's when they started the restoration process. This was paused in 1983 when Jules passed away. In 2008 its restoration was completed and it was made airworthy again.
