This particular aircraft came from a 1942 batch of E75s built to dual standard for the USAAF (as PT-13D) and US Navy (as N2S-5) and so after an order for the Air Force was cancelled it was easy to redirect them to the Navy. Therefore this plane, as 42-109200 with the USAAF, became 43139 with the USN. Sometime before 1964 the plane was flying on the civilian register and was completely restored in 1994.
