This N2S-3 was originally 38192 with the US Navy. The plane joined the civilian register sometime before or around 1958 as N69801 but became N56200 in June 1999. Restoration in Hungary was completed by 2013 and the plane based at Balen - Keiheuvel (EBKH) in Belgium. Unfortunately, in May 2016 the plane crashed and suffered substantial damge at Winslow, AZ during an attempted flight across the USA. The wreck was sold but beautifully restored and photographed in the hangar of the Commemorative AF SoCal Wing. This photo is copyright © Alastair T.
