Eight former Spanair Airbuses, Malev 737-700 HA-LOI and former Fly Hellas A320 EI-ETM parked on runway 11/29 at Dublin. Two other recently-arrived ex-Spanair A320s were parked elsewhere on the airport. Many aircraft leasing companies are based in Ireland. This, combined with the availability of storage and maintenance at Dublin and Shannon, led to these airports attracting these temporary residents.
