The Ju 46 was a W34 derivative as a mailplane, to be catapulted from ocean liners, and as such a seaplane, but D-2491 was delivered as a landplane in June 1933. Swastika flag decreed on port side of the rudder in July 1933. Renamed Bremen as a catapult seaplane in 1934, painted red. To D-UHYL. Last launch from steamer of the same name on 9 October 1935, 1028 km (639 miles) off Southampton. To D-OBRA of Lufthansa. To Hansa Luftdienst. Photographed in the summer of 1939 doing sightseeing flights at Pörtschach am Wörthersee, still as a seaplane. Photo from: Lufthansa
