Moored at its home base dock on Willow Lake. Taken on charge new by the US Army in 1956 as 55-3487. Transferred to the Royal Netherlands Air Force in 1956 as S-3. Returned to US Army Europe in 1974. Joined Willow Air Service in 1988. Substantially damaged at McGrath, AK on 15 September 1988 while float equipped, when power loss required a forced landing on tundra. Pilot uninjured.
