This aircraft made history on the 23 June 1960 when, flown by the famous alpine pilot Henri Giraud, it made the first fixed-wing aircraft landing on the Mont Blanc summit. Sadly, it was destroyed following a mid-air collision with a para-glider, on the 21 January 2025, its two occupants dying tragically in the crash.
