All (most?) of these C-27s were/are being stored at AMARG prior to transfer to the USCG as replacements for their C-130 fleet. The foremost Spartan was retired to AMARG in Sept. 2013 with only 108.4 h and was subsequently the first to be delivered to the Coast Guard and is now operated as 2714. It is being used to train and qualify CG aircrew and maintenance personnel as well as developing flight and maintenance procedures. This photo is copyright © Alastair T.
