In the late 1950s John Dyke started work on his first double delta wing aircraft that was to epitomise the American way of life. It had folding wings and the intention was that it could be garaged and towed to the airfield and made ready to fly within a few minutes. During a visit to America Pierre Robin was seduced by the design and bought plans with the intention of starting production but the type was not compatible with mass production techniques and this was the sole example built.
