On 3rd September 1999, ILGW had been chartered to fly an airline crew of 9, from Glasgow to Aberdeen. Shortly after take-off an engine was heard spluttering and one prop was seen to be rotating slowly. The aircraft then went into a steep right turn and entered into a dive.
