The history and restoration of this aircraft is fully explained on the Internet. At the time this photograph was taken, it was in the hands of the VAT team at Cranfield who preserved it in the condition shown until it was purchased in 1996 for restoration to flying condition by Beech Restorations at Bruntingthorpe.
