This C-119 was built in Hagerstown, Maryland, and delivered to the 316th Troop Carrier Group (Tactical Air Command) at Sewart AFB, Tennessee on 5th January, 1953. Over the years it served with many different units before being SOC in March 1970 and allocated for preservation. It is now on display, beautifully restored, at the Strategic Air Command & Aerospace Museum at Ashland. This photo is copyright © Alastair T.
