It is no exaggeration to say that the modest and unassuming DHC-2 is one aircraft type that deserves to be labelled as 'great'. The USAF flew more than 200 of the military U-6 variant for Medevac, courier service, passenger transport, light cargo, reconnaissance, rescue and aerial photography missions, the type even saw service in both the Korean and Southeast Asia Wars.
