This T-39A was delivered during August, 1963 and had been retired to AMARC by around 1972. It has been reported that an (fortunately unsuccessful) attempt was made to acquire the plane from there on behalf of Osama bin Laden. Instead it was allocated for preservation, ferried to Offutt AFB and is now on display outside the Strategic Air Command & Aerospace Museum at Ashland. This photo is copyright © Alastair T.
