Ex RAF KN682 and G-AMNL of Hunting Clan. To PLUNA in June 1964. Preserved in the Museo Aeronáutico de Montevideo.

One of three FH-227s operated by the Uruguayan AF, destroyed by fire while still stored in 8.95. Sister-ship T-571 infamously crashed in the Andes in 10.72, the survivors being found two months later having survived on cannibalism. The third was preserved and now acts as gate guard at the Montevideo Carrasco military base

Originally delivered to VASP as PP-SRF in 12.58, this beauty was bought by PLUNA in 11.75 and was preserved airside at one end of the terminal at MVD after withdrawal from service. Later moved and abandoned in another spot away from the terminal; condition increasingly poor but now fortunately saved by the Uruguayan Museum of Aeronautics for restoration in original colours. The livery seen here was current on B737s when the aircraft was put on display, but too late to actually have been carried by Viscounts in service

Delivered new to KLM as PH-TFG in January 1951. Sold to Compania Aeronautica Uruguaya S.A. (CAUSA) in December 1962. Stored at Montevideo from May 1967 after CAUSA ceased operations. Scrapped in November 1977.

PLUNA (Uruguay) Viscount 769D delivered new to the airline in May 1958. Written off at Buenos Aires when over-running the Aeroparque runway five weeks after this photo was taken.

Ex USAAF Beech AT-11 Kansan displayed at the Museo Aeronautico in Montevideo.

Ex USAAF C-46F 44-78739 operated postwar by Flying Tigers as N67992. Bought by Aeroplan in 1965 and stored at Carrasco from 1972.

Dragonfly delivered to PLUNA in October 1936 and named "Churrinche". Retired in 1949 and donated to the Montevideo Aviation Museum by date of this image. One of the aircraft destroyed in a major fire at the museum on 4 December 1997.

Started out with Allegheny as N2705J in 11.65 and later HR-LAP with LANSA and N275PH with Horizon; to Uruguay 1.88 and wfu at MVD 12.95, quickly becoming derelict with many missing parts; later scrapped
