Oostwold airfield was created by the late Tom van der Meulen who started his flying business in 1958. This Super Cub was acquired in 1960. Its airworthiness lapsed in 1992, but it was restored and re-registered in 2013, painted in historic colours and wearing the old legend Tom vliegt voor u (Tom flies for you).
