This is the single-seat, improved fighter version of the Fagot and is one in a long line of impressive Soviet fast-jets at the super RepTár Szolnoki Repülőmúzeum.

This Fishbed-J at the RepTár Szolnoki Repülőmúzeum is on display in a dummy revetment and makes for a nice exhibit. I'm not such a fast-jet fan but the MiG-21 is special!

This Hound-A is in reality '534' of the Nationale Volksarmee (NVA) but is on display at the RepTár Szolnoki Repülőmúzeum in these Hungarian markings. The original HuAF '27' (cn 1027) was written-off on 28th Oct 1957.

The HuAF used 18 L-29s between 1964 and 1984 and replacement by the L-39. This Delphin was built in 1965 and is on display at the RepTár Szolnoki Repülőmúzeum.

This L-39 was accepted into the NVA as '155' in 1977 and then became 28+15 in the unified German Air Force. In 1995, the frame was transferred to the HuAF as a spares source and is now on display at the RepTár Szolnoki Repülőmúzeum..

The Hungarian Air Force used 12 Yak-52s for training at Szolnok from 1994. This example, along with lots of other extremely interesting aircraft, is on display at the super RepTár Szolnoki Repülőmúzeum.

The People's Army received 36 Hoplites from 1982 (to replace retired Mi-1s) and due to the type's unique shape it was nicknamed 'the flying chicken leg' in Hungarian service. The Mi-2s were stationed at Szolnok and performed courier and transport duties before retirement in 2000. This example was built in 1985 and is now on display at the RepTár Szolnoki Repülőmúzeum.

This Il-2 (serial?) was built in April, 1944 at Zavod 1. On 14th Dec. 1944, piloted by Lt. Timofeyev with gunner S.Mjr. Udalov, it took-off from Szabadszállás, along with other Il-2s from 715 ShAP, to attack German vehicles on the shore of Lake Balaton. It was hit by anti-aircraft fire and ditched in the lake, from which the crew apparently survived but were lost in the cold water and their bodies never recovered (RIP). The wreckage was retrieved in 1999 and is now on display at the super RepTár Szolnoki Repülőmúzeum.

This mobile command post variant of the Mi-8 is one of a number of very interesting helicopters to be seen at RepTár Szolnoki Repülőmúzeum.

If I understand correctly, this aircraft was painted into this scheme to play the role of an 'aggressor' aircraft for an air show held at Tázar in 1991. It is now on display at the super RepTar museum in Szolnok.

This was the first special schemed Hind to appear for the Hungarian Armed Forces. It dates from September 2000 and is painted to resemble a white-tailed eagle to celebrate the first airshow at the Szentkiralyszabadja helicopter base. In service, it served with the 87th Bakony Helicopter Attack Regiment but is enjoying its retirement at the super now RepTár museum in Szolnok.
